Announcing a new trilogy
Muphrid
“Part 1” is the first volume of a three book series in science fiction adventure.
Join Muphrid and The Princess on a vacation excursion across the galaxy, which takes them to several different planets via hyperspace jumps. Along the way you will learn how to prepare yourself for these transitions, which cause various forms of physical discomfort.
Our hero, Muphrid, has the unfortunate tendency to attract law-enforcement officers wherever they visit, so The Princess is occasionally called upon to rescue her intrepid companion. Early in their journey, Sally, their spacecraft and integrated computer-intelligence, experiences a mechanical breakdown, which forces a diversion to Earth for repairs. On Earth we meet the actress, Sandi, who decides to accompany our heroes on their continuing travels.
So come along with these four characters in exciting and dangerous journeys to six different planets, where alien creatures and supposedly friendly beings present deadly hazards.
“Muphrid – Part 2” is the second volume of a three book series in science fiction adventure.
Muphrid and The Princess arrive on the planet Eden, along with their traveling companion Sandi, who is an actress they met on Earth. Our adventurers set out on foot to visit a peaceful village of the local intelligent aliens. After a number of friendly interactions with these furry people, an unexpected visitor appears and challenges Muphrid to accept a rescue mission on yet another planet.
“Part 3” is the third volume of a three book series in science fiction adventure.
After escaping from the prison planet, having rescued two inmates, Muphrid executes a hastily improvised hyperspace jump, which mistakenly transports the ship into uncharted space.
This unfortunate situation requires Sally, the ship’s computer-intelligence, to solve massively complex equations to determine a valid jump solution for return to civilization.
This task will take several weeks, so Muphrid now has the duty of managing the crew and passengers for an extended time while lost-in-space.
Making the situation even more difficult are the conditions of the two former prisoners. The human, Glurney, has some psychological problems due to his time of incarceration. The individual from the planet Odium is a totally alien creature with a highly objectionable body odor.
So let us rejoin our intrepid crew as they attempt to survive during these irksome circumstances.
